Here's an interview I did with Carl MacMillan from L'Arche Daybreak about the organization and it's founder Jean Vanier. To quote from the L'Arche website:
"In L'Arche, people who have developmental disabilities and those who come to assist share life and daytime activities together in family-like settings that are integrated into local neighbourhoods. L'Arche in Canada has nearly 200 homes and workshops or day programs."
They do amazing work, and their concepts are really quite revolutionary. I've enjoyed a number of Jean Vanier's books, and this interview offers a great discussion on his ideas, and the wonderful people involved in L'Arche.
