As part of my tv show 3D Dialogue I had a conversation with Stuart Laidlaw, the faith and ethics reporter at the Toronto Star, regarding research he has done about the involvement of religious communities in the environmental movement. It was a great chat, and now that climate change is finally become a political priority, it's worth recognizing the contributions to the environmental movement from religious communities.
On the other hand, it was also interesting to speak with Stuart about some of the opponents of the environmental movement, explicitly the Rapturists, who in believing the world is about to end, either see global warming as part of that desired end, or inconsequential and not worth any attention.
